Week 5
AT FIRST GLANCE there are games that always look Tasty ATS in many publications as a Bullet trend only to trap upon further review. Since 2006, The Director has cleared the way for you to understand which team has the real ADVANTAGE against the Trend.
For the first time in a long time, there are no regular historical matchups taking place this week to tap for historical trends.
DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE
If there was ever a game to inspire to America, it is the return of Monday Night Football to Detroit after a decade. With the Departure of Hank Williams, we can only hope that Kid Rock rises up to sing tonight's anthem. The DETROIT LIONS arrive 3-0-1 ATS to start 2011, and an amazing 8-0-1 dating back into the 2010 Regular Season. Outscoring opponents by over 14 points on over 300 passing yards per game, the Bears defensive line will continue to struggle in this one; the Lions allowing only 5 sacks this season. Although the Lions have not beaten the Bears SU since 2007 when them swept them or favored in Detroit since 2005 under Mariucci, they are also 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games in October as well as 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a Favorite. With its defense allowing 428 yards per game on 6.2 yards per play, look for the Bears, 4-10-1 in its last 15 games as a Road Underdog, and 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games versus the NFC North to have to take to the air on Cutler's arm (77.8 rating).
