steelers 16 | GIANTS 20

East Rutherford, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Curtis Painter's 3-yard touchdown pass to Corey Washington late in the fourth quarter led the New York Giants to a 20-16 preseason victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday. Painter, who completed all seven of his passes for 68 yards, was efficient, using over seven minutes of the clock with a 12-play, 80-yard drive that culminated in Washington's short touchdown reception. The Giants' defense stood tall in the final moments, forcing a fumble at their own 27-yard line to seal the win. Rashad Jennings led New York on the ground with 85 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Eli Manning started the game, but was just 0- for-2 passing. Ben Roethlisberger played the first drive for Pittsburgh and went 1-for-2, connecting with Dri Archer on a 46-yard pass to help set up Shaun Suisham's 26-yard field goal less than five minutes in.
