2013 Week 12 - Cowboys @ GIANTS

Week 12 Preview: Today's focus is on [1] Offense: With Brown averaging 3.8 yards per carry, Can Manning, 71.8 rating, put his opening day 6 interception performance behind him [2] Defense: Can Rolle and the defense, that are only allowing 14.8 ppg in their last five games, slow a sputtering Cowboys offense that has surprisingly only powered 278 yards per game in its last five games.

Sports Reporter has had the Giants number this season. Having nailed Week 11, the Sports Reporter is back with the NEW YORK GIANTS over DALLAS by 5. This is beautiful in such a sick way, isn’t it? The 4-6 SU Giants were 0-6 to start the season, yet the 5-5 SU Cowboys have to fight them off for a standings tie, on the road, in Week 12. That didn’t take long. The Cowboys have swallowed their magic bye week pill and hope to overcome a bunch of defensive injuries, as well as the lack of consistent running game, coaching deficiencies, usual lousy road play (1-4 SU this season), late-season pressure, and the fact that the Giants’ offense gained about 20 yards per minute of offensive possession against their then-healthy defense in Week 1. That game went Dallas’ way because the Giants’ offensive coordinator had his brain stuck on calling the “Turnover Play,” like a screen pass that hasn’t existed in the team’s playbook since Tucker Fredrickson was on the roster. Tom Coughlin hasn’t choked Kevin Gilbride and the team has won four in a row, aided by sending an urgent telegram for the over-the-hill running back they released because they thought last year’s #1 draft choice who fumbled a lot and can’t block (and helped fumble away the Week 1 game) was a better player, and opponents developing worse problems than they have. Only in the NFL, right? The Cowboys’ defense has never enjoyed standing in front of a charging Brandon
