Week 8 Preview: Today's focus is on [1] Offense: will we finally see Nassib to see what action the Giants will need to take in the draft? [2] Defense: do they want to continue to risk their health to slow McCoy, averaging over 4.9 yards per carry.Believing this our last stand, SPORTS REPORTER, who has the Giants number this year, previews today's matchup: It seems like Philly has had the Giants’ number since Wilbert Montgomery and Harold Carmichael were playing for the Eagles. Everyone will worry that Philadelphia’s quarterback situation will prevent them from beating their patsy, the Giants, for the second time this season. Nick Foles should be out, and rookie Matt Barkley tossed 3 INTs vs. the Cowboys. But why worry about an Eagles’ quarterback throwing INTs to the Giants, when the Giants’ defense doesn’t get many turnovers and when the New York offense – with a decent quarterback Eli Manning – has committed more turnovers than anyone else in the NFL season? The Giants’ fake defensive front seven took a pounding from the Vikings on Monday night and has a short week to heal up and get ready, meaning that their pass rush – which hasn’t been there anyway – figures to get worse. This would allow an Eagles passing attack with deep threats (and a running back in LeSean McCoy who can tire out a defense like New York’s) to have time for whoever is quarterback, possibly Michael Vick returning from a hamstring injury, to find them. PHILADELPHIA, 35-27.
