Week 7 Preview: Today's focus is on [1] Offense: can Manning, 64 rating, avoid an interception on the first couple of drives. [2] Defense: can the defense remain spirited, and slow Peterson, averaging over 4.1 yards per carry.Believing this our last stand, SPORTS REPORTER, who has the Giants number this year, previews today's matchup: Train Wreck vs. Dumpster Fire! Which stinks worse? Is it the 0-6 SU, 1-5 ATS Giants? Or the 1-4 SU, 2-3 ATS Vikings? When will Eli Manning throw the Pick-6 in this game? Early, late, middle of the game? The Giants’ clown coordinator keeps calling for the route/throws that they obviously can’t connect on. Which awful quarterback – Ponder, Cassell, or newly acquired Josh Freeman – will try to lead what passes for the Vikings’ offense? The Vikings’ defense likes to pres-sure the quarterback rushing four and keeping plenty of people in coverage, like the Bears’s Cover-2, except the Vikings don’t have a cluster injury situation at defensive tackle like Chicago did, which helped lessen Chicago’s pass rush and also helped make it easier for the Giants’ dinosaur running back Brandon Jacobs gain some yards to help keep that game close. The Vikings’ defense lost safety Harrison Smith, CB Xavier Rhodes and LB Desmond Bishop to injuries on Sunday. Monitor their statuses. The Giants have a few extra days to prepare and heal up after playing on a Thursday. Their points differential is worse than everyone but Jacksonville’s. New York’s -16 Turnover Ratio is 13 turnovers worse than the next-worst NFC team, Green Bay at -3. NY GIANTS, 23-22.
